Experienced Mediator For Your Divorce Or Custody Case

Mediation is a unique process that is very much different than the "Litigation" approach or even the "Collaborative Divorce" approach. In each of those instances, the parties are represented by their own attorney and the attorneys to do the negotiating for the party. In a "Mediation" setting, the parties do not have lawyers, and the mediator does not represent either party.

As your mediator, I will walk you and your spouse through the relevant law, policies and procedures that apply to your case. I will then guide you through a resolution of each issue, relying upon my 30+ years of experience as an attorney in working out parenting plans, support orders and finding creative solutions for property division issues for couples in California.

Reasons To Consider Mediating Your Dispute

Mediation is significantly more cost-effective than either of the two other alternatives, generally costing about 20 percent of what one would end up incurring in a litigated or collaborative case. Mediation offers many other additional benefits to clients, including:

  • Allowing you and your spouse to work together on the most contentious issues
  • Developing a child custody agreement that stands a much better chance of lasting into the future
  • Helping you and your spouse remain focused on the divorce process instead of fighting over every single item that needs to be addressed

All negotiations in mediation are done between the parties, facilitated by the mediator, resulting in the parties having complete control over the outcome of their case. You are allowed to speak freely about the issues, because the goal is to find solutions. I help you and your spouse take on the challenges that you are experiencing and work toward finding a more stress-free resolution of your divorce or custody dispute.
