Many Hollywood fans in California closely follow any story having to do with Rob Kardashian and his former fiancee, Blac Chyna. The couple had informed the public of their intent to marry in 2016 around the same time they let everyone know they were expecting a baby together. Not long after the big announcements, the couple severed their ties. This led to a court battle that recently concluded with a child support agreement finally being achieved.
When the baby was born, mother and child reportedly moved out of Kardashian’s home. That’s when the child custody battle began. Throughout proceedings, Kardashain and Chyna accused one another of acting vengefully toward the other; in fact, Chyna actually filed cyberbullying charges against Kardashian at one point.
These two parents have certainly had their ups and downs regarding their child custody situation. Positive strides have indeed been made though, as made evident by the recent agreement stating Kardashian will pay $20,000 per month in child support from here on out. They have also agreed to share physical custody of their child.
Not every California parent facing contentious child support situations is a Hollywood star. Regardless of one’s state in life, any dispute surrounding parental rights and raising children can be stressful. An experienced family law attorney can see to it that a parent’s rights are protected and the best interests of a child remain a central focus of court proceedings. An attorney can also file an appeal regarding any court decision that a parent believes is unfair.
